Willie Kent

Willie Dee Kent was born the son of James Wiley Kent and Virgie May Watson Kent on January 17, 1929 in Lepanto, Arkansas. He passed away March 19, 2023 in Oro Valley, Arizona at the age of 94 years. Willie was united in marriage June 4, 1955 in Wenatchee, Washington to Erna Schmidt. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, William (survived by Kunrada) and Daniel; and three brothers: Bob (Patricia), Don (survived by Cheryl), and Jimmie (survived by Ellen). Survivors include his wife, Erna; three children: Linda, Lisa, and Steve (Jacqueline) Kent; six grandchildren: Lee (Vera) Sisk, Aubrey Kent, Chloe (Dylan) Wall, Emily, Naomi, and Willie Boon Kent; several great-grandchildren; a brother, Roger (Jeanette); many other relatives and good friends. Willie dedicated his life at an early age to becoming one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. He had the privilege of graduating in the 17th class of Gilead where he studied to serve as a missionary. He served as a Circuit Servant (Overseer) in Montana for a time and then served in Guatemala as a missionary. Willie also served many years as a congregation elder. Willie loved his family, friends, and congregations by helping them and any other people in need. He had a positive, thankful, generous spirit and looked forward to life in the new world. He also loved working in his family businesses, taking a daily interest and contributing until his final days. Due to forecast of severe weather conditions, services will be at a later date.
