William Evert Tinker, 90, of rural Ash Flat, Arkansas, passed away January 1, 2019, at EagleCrest Nursing and Rehab Center. He was born June 6, 1928, in Unicoi, Tennessee. Bill was a member of First Baptist Church in Ash Flat and a veteran of the U.S. Army and Air Force reaching MSgt. status. He had worked as a security guard for a bank in Little Rock and for Alco in Highland, Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his parents, George Frank and Leona (Mullins) Tinker; brothers, Vestle and Wayne; and sisters, Wilma, Thelma, and Kathleen. Survivors include his wife, Wanda (Taylor) Tinker; daughters, Neoma Arnold and Debbie Huffman; ten grandchildren; and other relatives and good friends. A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 5, in the chapel of Tri-County Funeral Home at Highland with Bro. Ken Light officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to Campground Cemetery Fund, c/o Della Arnold. Arrangements are with Tri-County Funeral Home of Highland.
