Virgie Wiles was born July 27, 1940, in Whitesburg, Kentucky. She passed from this life August 10, 2019, in Cherokee Village, Arkansas. She was an excellent cook; homemade sausage gravy and biscuits was one of her specialties. Virgie loved playing video games - Super Nintendo and Sega Genesis - and spending time with her great-grandchildren making special memories with each of them. She spent most of her working years in housekeeping at hotels. Virgie was a free spirit: she loved to laugh and enjoyed taking pictures every day of her grand and great-grands. She is survived by two daughters, Donna (Bob) Cole of Powhatan and Chris (John) Pike of Hardy; one son, Ryan Wiles of the home in Cherokee Village; four grandchildren: Kenneth (Megan), Timothy (Tara), Kendra (Hunter), and Kashayla; five great-grandchildren: Bailey, Chloe, Christopher, Gabriel, and Noah; several brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, and many friends. Virgie was preceded in death by her parents, Harvey and Polly (Wood) Sandlin; a grandson, Kendall Don Wiles; and several brothers and sisters. A private memorial service will be at a later date. Arrangements are with Tri-County Funeral Home of Highland, Arkansas.
