Eugene D. "Tuffy" Wiles, 82, of Ash Flat passed away September 24, 2021 at EagleCrest Nursing and Rehab Center. He was born September 20, 1939 in Highland to Truman L. and Norma (Biggers) Wiles. Tuffy became an over-the-road truck driver and was a member of Spring River Baptist Church. He enjoyed sports and especially liked golf and watching the Arkansas Razorbacks. He was a Shriner and always enjoyed a good game of cards, particularly pitch. Tuffy was extremely successful growing roses and never backed away from a good conversation. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Leonard (sister-in-law Wanda) and Raymond, sister Betty Conner (brother-in-law Wyatt), nephew Lynn Conner, sister-in-law Karen Wiles, son-in-law Jimmy Getson. Survivors include his daughters, Teresa (Marty) Goodwin of Ash Flat and Debbie Getson of Hardy; son, Vince (Lisa) Duncan of Highland; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sisters, Janelta (Teddy) Tipton of Hardy and Naomi (Gary) Martin of Mountain Home; brothers, Roy (Judy) of Cherokee Village and Travis of Agnos; sister-in-law Sue of Batesville; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives as well as many good friends. Visitation of family and friends will be Wednesday, September 29, from 1 to 2 p.m. in the chapel of Tri-County Funeral Home in Highland. Funeral will follow at 2 with Bro. John Hodges officiating. Masks and social distancing are encouraged. Burial will be in Wiles Cemetery at Ash Flat. Pallbearers include Jeff Tipton, Bryan Long, Marty & Austin Goodwin, Chris Jackson, Donward, Justin, Anthony, and Roy Wiles. In lieu of flowers and plants, the family would appreciate donations in Tuffy's memory to Shriners Children's Hospital, 4400 Clayton Ave., St. Louis, MO 63110. Arrangements are with Tri-County Funeral Home of Highland.
