Tressie Faye Farris, 85, of Violet Hill, Arkansas passed away Monday, April 22, 2024 at her home. She was born October 1, 1938 in Camp, Arkansas to Thomas Owen and Mahalia Hamilton Tadlock. Tressie was a caregiver as a Certified Nursing Assistant. She became an excellent quiltmaker and was employed at The Quilt Palace in Glencoe. She also enjoyed knitting, but most important to her were her faith and her family.
Survivors include her children: Alice Buck (Oliver) of Melbourne, Sally Eaton (Cloyce) of Paragould, Rockie Farris (Shawna) of Violet Hill, and Thomas Farris (Bridgette) of Melbourne; 19 grandchildren: Amanda, Andrew, Daniel, Jon, Laura, Christina, James David, Diana, Summer, Autumn, Savannah, Kristen, Clint, Fallon, Heather, Michael, Ashley, William, and Ellison; multiple great-grandchildren; many other relatives and good friends.
Tressie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Billy R. Farris; a daughter, Teresa Hodge; a son, Billy R. Farris Jr.; three sisters: Mary Williams, Imogene Sterling, and Barbara Stone; and a brother, Roy Tadlock.
Visitation of family and friends will be Friday, April 26, 2024 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. in the chapel of Tri-County Funeral Home at 1540 Hwy. 62-412 in Highland, Arkansas.
A graveside service will be Saturday, April 27 at 11 a.m. in Wiles Cemetery at Ash Flat, Arkansas with Bro. Cloyce Eaton officiating. Arrangements are with Tri-County Funeral Home.
