Teddy Duncan

December 4, 1937 — September 20, 2020

Thomas “Teddy” Duncan, 82, of Cherokee Village, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, September 20, 2020, at his home. Born December 4, 1937, in Williford, Arkansas, he was a life-long resident of Sharp County. Teddy graduated from Williford High School as a part of the Class of 1955 and was extremely involved in keeping his classmates connected over the years, making sure they got together as often as possible. He was a master stonemason, working many years for Cooper Communities in the development of Cherokee Village. Many of the homes, fireplaces, and other landmarks in the area stand as monuments to his artistry and skill as well as that of the many men who worked with him through the years. He was a member of Bettis Church of Christ. Teddy was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Coy and Halo Louise (Hedrick) Duncan; his aunt, Beula Hedrick; and his brother-in-law, Jack Sitz. Survivors include his wife, Linda, of the home; children: Vincent and Lisa Duncan of Highland, Arkansas, Barbara and Mark Wakeham of Cherokee Village, Michael and Peggy Duncan of Winter Garden, Florida; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; his sister, Sue Sitz of Williford; his niece, Jackie Johnson of Collierville, Tennessee; many other relatives and good friends. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Memorial services will be at a later date. Arrangements are with Tri-County Funeral Home of Highland.
