Roy Maddox

Roy Wayne Maddox, 73, of rural Hardy, Arkansas passed away December 13, 2021 at White River Medical Center in Batesville. He was born September 19, 1948 in St. Charles, AR to Roy and Lillie Belle (Jenkins) Maddox, both of whom preceded him in death along with a sister, Louella. Roy was of the Pentecostal faith and a passionate trout fisherman. He was a veteran of the United States Navy who enjoyed country music and worked as an over-the-road truck driver. Survivors include his wife, Cheryl Ann (Reckahn) Maddox; three sons: Roy Wayne Maddox Jr. (Jorge), David Paul Maddox (Amanda), and Robert Scott Jenkins (Pam); a daughter, Charlene Denise Carmeans (Alan); several grandchildren and an unborn great-grandson; two brothers: Jerry and Mickey; a sister, Carolyn; many other relatives and good friends. Memorial services will be at a later date.
