Rickey Carl Snearly, 67, of Highland, Arkansas departed this life Wednesday, August 25, 2021 in Batesville, Arkansas. He was born March 6, 1954 in Wynne, Arkansas to Olan Allen and Claudine (Brown) Snearly, both of whom predeceased him. Rick was of the Assembly of God faith exhibiting his Christian character from an early age. He was highly respected by his peers. He graduated from Highland High School in 1972 where he had especially enjoyed a stellar career in basketball. His passion for multiple sports evolved into being able to coach his own boys and grandkids along with many other youth of the community. Rick was a storyteller, wrote Bible lessons for Sunday School classes, and became a master builder in general construction. Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Joyce Schales Snearly; sons: Gabriel (Carissa) of Ash Flat, Arkansas, Nicholas (Julie) of Jonesboro, Arkansas, and Nathaniel (Kara) of Ash Flat; nine grandchildren: Hannah Booth & Caden Snearly of Ash Flat, Elijah, Leah, & Noah Snearly of Jonesboro, and Krayson, Hadleigh, Braylen, & Emery Snearly of Ash Flat; a great-grandson, Lennox Isley of Ash Flat; two brothers, Bob (Shirley) Snearly of Wynne and Bill (Martha) Snearly of Fordyce, Arkansas; a sister, Wanda Langston of Highland; several nieces and nephews, cousins, and many great friends. Visitation of family and friends will be Saturday, August 28, from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Highland First Assembly of God. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m. with Tonya and Nathan Hubbard and Chris Clem officiating. Honorary pallbearers include Joey Sample, Don Snearly, Gary Smith, Tom Peebles, Jim Hansen, Barry Richey, and Rickey Crook. Arrangements are with Tri-County Funeral Home of Highland.
