James Randal "Randy" Liggett, 70, of rural Ash Flat, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, January 14, 2021 at his home. He was born September 24, 1950 in Newport, Arkansas and became a wonderful son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather: "a diamond of a man" and member of First Baptist Church of Myron. Randy became the ultimate pharmacist who loved his customers as family. He never met a person he didn't like or want to help. He was recognized by the Spring Area Chamber of Commerce with the E. Wilson Green Community Volunteer Service Award in 1991 (the first one presented after it was established and presented to Mr. Green in 1990). Randy was known for always doing "the best" he could at every endeavor. He was a "Silent Rancher" and an RC enthusiast (remote control airplanes). He was preceded in death by his parents, Duard Adrian and Annette (Williams) Liggett and a granddaughter, Loreena. Survivors include his wife, Karen; children: Ryan Patrick (Bridget) Liggett of Eminence, Missouri, Kasey Lauren Liggett of Ash Flat, and Shawn Christopher Liggett of Ash Flat; grandchildren: Brooke, Kyler, Cinch, Kadence, Hunter, Rein, and Josie; great-granddaughter, Ashtyn; his brother, Donnie (Angie) Liggett of Jonesboro, Arkansas; other relatives and a multitude of good friends. Public visitation of family and friends will be Monday, January 18, 2021, from 4 to 6 p.m. in the chapel of Tri-County Funeral Home at Highland, Arkansas.
