Qunion "Quinn" Leroy Long, 77, of Cherokee Village, Arkansas passed away October 16, 2021 at White River Medical Center in Batesville. He was born November 19, 1943 in Lepanto and became an over-the-road truck driver. He was a member of the church of Christ and had served as a deacon and youth leader. He loved driving his truck, even in his dreams. Quinn never met a stranger and served his country in the U.S. Army. He married Phyllis Henry on January 18, 1963. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leroy and Suloney (Coats) Long, and a brother-in-law, Glenn Fagan. Survivors include his wife of 58 years and two children, Scott (Beth) Long of Jonesboro and Pamela (Curtis) Ellis of Ash Flat; three grandchildren: Adam (Samantha) Redd of Brookland, Mendy (Derek) Chappell of Brookland, and Kristin (Calen) Wallace of Harrisburg; three great-grandchildren: Claire, Alyssa, and Kale; a brother, Douglas Long of Roland; two sisters, Janice (Glen) Deaton of Trumann and Patsy Wadlington of Poulsbo, WA; a sister-in-law, Patti Anderson of Searcy; several other relatives and good friends. Visitation of family and friends will be Wednesday morning, October 20, from 9:30 to 11 in the chapel of Tri-County Funeral Home at Highland; funeral service will follow with Bro. Bill Willard officiating. Burial will be in Bronaugh Cemetery north of Hardy just off Hwy. 63. Pallbearers include Jerry Long, Calen Wallace, Shawn Fagan, Patrick Ellis, Bo Hubbard, and Ben Davidson. Honorary pallbearers are Curtis Ellis, David Fagan, and Michael Fagan.
