Pearly Hirsch, 98, a lifelong resident of the Ravenden, Arkansas area, stepped into eternity February 26, 2020. She was born May 25, 1921, to Moses and Bertha Wilson King, the eldest daughter of their twelve children. Pearly married Henry Chester Hirsch on May 3, 1940. She was preceded in death by her husband in July 2001; her parents; six brothers: Marvin, John, Cecil, Jesse, Willie, and Claudie; four sisters: Irene, Thelma, Maudie, and Katherine; and a daughter, Patsy Stacy. Survivors include three of her children: Deanna (Robert) Vale, Carolyn (Bill) Leonard, Ron (Carol) Hirsch; nine grandchildren: Bob Vale, Gustave Vale, Gailya (Peter) Go, Connie (Billy) Olds, Leland Teague, Angela (Jim) Atwell, Brad (Julie) Leonard, Lisa (Trent) Howard, Leslie (Paul) Skorick; sixteen great-grandchildren: Adam & Alec Olds, Bobbie & Courtney Teague, David & Daniel Go, Cody, Austin, & Madison Atwell, Kayla, Ryan, & Rebecca Leonard, Clark & Colby Howard, Alexander & Naomi Skorick; two great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Luther King; and many other relatives and friends. Pearly was employed at Brown Shoe Company in Pocahontas, Arkansas for more than thirty years and became “the best and fastest” doing great work sewing shoes. She also had a quilting business, and she served her community in South Union Township as the reporter of news to the Imboden Journal. Visitation of family and friends will begin at 12:30 p.m. Sunday with funeral service to follow at 1:30 in the Tri-County Funeral Home Chapel at Highland. John Stoll will officiate. Burial will be in Dail Cemetery near Ravenden. Pallbearers include Gailya Go, Lisa Howard, Leslie Skorick, Bradley Leonard, Cody Atwell, Austin Atwell, and Kayla Leonard. The family expresses sincere and heartfelt appreciation to the entire staff of EagleCrest Nursing and Rehab Center, 916 Hwy. 62/412, Ash Flat, AR 72513, for the excellent care and love given to Pearly.
