Patricia A. McCarroll, 87, of Cherokee Village, Arkansas passed away July 17, 2023 at White River Health in Batesville, Arkansas. She was born March 11, 1936 in Stamps, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl Drake and Thelma Drake Goode; her husband, Ed McCarroll; a son, Kurt Knauts; and one sister, Margaret Haustein. Pat attended First Baptist Church of Ash Flat as a devout Christian aspiring to achieve continued spiritual growth. She was an accomplished artist and an active member and former secretary of the Spring River Art Gallery in Hardy, Arkansas. She used her artistic talent to design and handcraft banners for the Village Bible Church in Cherokee Village. Pat enjoyed playing golf and had a beautiful swing, exemplary of her gracefulness in life and trust in her faith. She was a career home economics teacher in northeast Arkansas and a member of Sharp County Retired Teachers. Survivors include her son, Kevin Knauts; two grandsons, Chase Knauts and Drake (Kourtney) Clark; four great-grandchildren: Kenzie & Drew Clark and Ellis & Emmett Knauts; a niece, Janet Sutton; a nephew, Danny Hudson; other relatives and several good friends. Visitation of family and friends will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday, July 22 with a funeral service to follow, all in the chapel of Tri-County Funeral Home at 1540 Hwy. 62/412, Highland, Arkansas with Joe Loghry officiating assisted by Pastor Lynn Raby.
