Pansy Lue Nix King, 83, of Springdale, Arkansas, passed away at Shiloh Nursing and Rehab in Springdale. She was born in Ash Flat, Arkansas. She earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Arkansas and was a loyal and dedicated Razorback fan. Her work was centered in the healthcare industry as a registered dietician. She was a member of both the Arkansas and American Academies of Nutrition and Dietetics for 56 years. Pansy was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Owen and Iva Ollie (Ferguson) Nix; her husband, George D. King Jr.; a son-in-law, Randy Kemp; and a niece, Stephanie Kent. Survivors include her children: Vicki (Randy) Smith, Cindi Kemp, George (Rhonda) King III; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and her twin sister, Patsy Kent. Graveside service will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 29, in Wiles Cemetery at Ash Flat.
