Pamela Stevens, 62, of Cherokee Village, Arkansas passed away March 9, 2021 at her home. She was born January 28, 1959 in Joliet, Illinois to Virgil and Betty (Wren) Thatcher. Her greatest joy was being with her kids and grandkids. She was a member of Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in Highland, Arkansas and had worked as a cook in the healthcare industry and cleaned houses for an agency. She enjoyed sewing, decorating inside and outside the house, cooking, sitting on the porch drinking a cup of coffee and watching animals. Survivors include her husband, Brian; four children: Virgil (Laura), Peter (Zephyr "Zip"), Jeff (Kelsey), and Dawn (Robin); 13 grandchildren; six sisters: Ginny Jones, Mary (Bill) Thomas, Debbie (Larry) Cox, Cindy Thatcher, Bette Perez, and Laurie Thatcher; sister-in-law, Malinia Thatcher; many nieces and nephews, other relatives, and good friends. Pamela was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers: Joseph "Joe" and Wilson "Willie" and David and Dennis Thatcher. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 16 in Mound Grove Gardens of Memory in Kankakee, Illinois with Rev. Scott Henley officiating. Arrangements are with Tri-County Funeral Home of Highland, Arkansas and Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home in Bourbonnais, Illinois.
