Maxine Swan

Maxine Swan, 92, of Marked Tree, Arkansas, passed away October 11, 2020 at St. Bernard’s Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro. She was born October 21, 1927 in Mantachie, Mississippi, and was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed writing poems and creating crafts. Maxine was a loving and constant caregiver. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Nona Davis Underwood; her husband, Richie Swan; a sister, Kathleen Underwood; two brothers, Paul Jack Underwood and Bill Charles Underwood; a son, Johnny Lane Montgomery and daughter-in-law, Laverne; and a grandson, Jonathan Kyle Smith. Survivors include her sons, Lonnie Wayne Montgomery (Linda) and Ronald Eugene Swan (Tyra), both of Marked Tree; her daughters: Shelia Dianne Harsson and Lisa Kathleen Boxley, also of Marked Tree, and Janet Leigh Walsh (William) of Arlington, Tennessee; 13 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great-grandchildren; many other relatives and good friends. No services are planned at this time. Arrangements are with Tri-County Funeral Home of Highland, Arkansas.
