Maxine McLeish, 98, of Cherokee Village, Arkansas, passed away at Ash Flat Healthcare & Rehab Center. She was born in Dayton, Iowa, and had worked as a secretary/bookkeeper. She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church and enjoyed knitting and rock hunting. Survivors include her sons, Dennis of Cherokee Village and Joseph Jr. (Evelyn) of Rock Hill, South Carolina; a daughter, Sharon of Cherokee Village; three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Maxine was preceded in death by her parents, Wesley and Lucille Peterson; her husband, Joseph Sr.; a daughter, Denise; and three brothers: Quinton, Morris, and Charles. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, October 21, at Peace Lutheran Church in Cherokee Village with Pastor Brian Pummill officiating. Inurnment will follow in Peace Memorial Garden.
