Mary Ellen Henman, 89, of Hardy, Arkansas passed away at her home August 6, 2024. She was born June 25, 1935 in Oklahoma and was preceded in death by her mother, Opal Gertrude Cloud-Stewart; her first husband, Alva Dickerson, and second husband, Edward Henman; a brother, Cornell; and a daughter, Margaret Jendeski.
Mary worked as a nurse in her early years of service to others and later was an over-the-road truck driver. From a wide range of experiences with people, she was best known locally as manager of the SACS thrift store in Highland, Arkansas. Mary's quick wit always left customers with a smile on her face and those with whom she had conversation.
Survivors include her sons, Paul and Art Dickerson of Wichita, Kansas, along with numerous grandchildren, great and great-great grandchildren, and a host of good friends.
A celebration of Mary's life and influence will be Sunday, September 8, 2024 at the McCabe House in Cherokee Village, Arkansas.
