Marilyn Sanders

Marilyn Jane (nee McMahan) Sanders, 90, died Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at EagleCrest Nursing & Rehab Center in Ash Flat, Arkansas. She was born July 18, 1932 in Flint, Michigan to Charles and Gurneth (nee Turner) McMahan. Marilyn graduated from Flint Central High School in 1950. She married Alvin Sanders and lived many years in Michigan before transferring to Wisconsin. They retired and moved to Cherokee Village, Arkansas in 1987 where they enjoyed fishing, golf, and playing bridge. Both parents preceded her in death along with her husband, her brother, Jim McMahan; and granddaughter, Molly Pearl DeGrave. Survivors include her children: Pat Sanders, Susan (Terry) Baird, Pamela Sanders, and Steve (Annette Iffland) Sanders; grandchildren: Cori (Toby) Young, Shannon, Julie, and Nicholas DeGrave; and great-granddaughter, Tessa Hogue; her sister, Shirley (Norm) Smith; many nieces and nephews, other relatives, and good friends. Memorial services will be Saturday, December 10, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Tri-County Funeral Home at 1540 Hwy 62/412, Highland, Arkansas.
