Marilyn Gail Orr Rogers, 77, of Bentonville, Arkansas, passed away Saturday, February 1, 2020. She was born October 8, 1942, in Ash Flat and was a graduate of the high school there. Some of her fondest memories were of her lifelong friends who gathered often for school reunions. Gail was a proud Ash Flat Eagle and had a strong Christian faith. Friendships increased as she attended Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri. Her outgoing personality enhanced the list of friends she and her husband, Maurice, made through their years of employment with Cooper Communities, Inc. Even though they lived and worked in Cherokee Village, Hot Springs Village, and Bella Vista Village, this couple maintained their home and roots in Ash Flat as well as being longtime residents of northwest Arkansas. Gail was an avid Razorback fan and enjoyed travel including cruises, a day on a lake, and even a float trip on the Elk River. A simple dinner with family and friends gave her yet another opportunity to visit. Gail loved her family of Maurice, who preceded her in death in July 2018, and her children and their spouses who survive her: Robin and Jack Curtis of Republic, Missouri, and Marc and Bridget Rogers of Bentonville; and two grandsons: Noah and Lucas Rogers. She was preceded in death by her parents, Russell and Maudie Appleton Orr; a brother, R. A. “Sonny” Orr; and a granddaughter, Christina Brewer. Services will be Wednesday, February 5, in the chapel of Tri-County Funeral Home at Highland, Arkansas. Visitation will be from noon to 1 p.m. Funeral will begin at 1 with burial to follow in Wiles Cemetery at Ash Flat. Pallbearers: Phillip Orr, Mike Nix, Bill McKimm, Michael Rogers, Jack Curtis, Clint Wiles Honorary Pallbearers: LeRoy Orr, Noah & Lucas Rogers In lieu of flowers, the family encourages memorial donations to Wiles Cemetery Fund, P.O.
