Diana Lynette Chambers, 66, of Evening Shade, Arkansas, passed away at her home Tuesday, June 9, 2020. She was born May 26, 1954, in Batesville, Arkansas. Lynette was a member of the Assembly of God at Highland, Arkansas, and was a writer of short stories, books, and magazine articles. Her authorship is known worldwide. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Burley and Mary Marlene Stuntz Burrus, and a brother, John Daniel Burrus. Survivors include her husband, Jim Chambers; a daughter, Amanda Christine Chambers of Evening Shade; a son, Jimmie Joe Chambers III and his wife Heidi of Nebraska; three grandchildren: Aleksa, Sophia, and Augustus; a brother, Christopher (Athena) Burrus; five sisters: Kathy (Gary) Bailey, Caroline (Tillman) Treat, Marsha Burrus, Bonnie (Bob) Reed, and Janice (Arlis) Lee; many nieces and nephews, other relatives, and good friends. A graveside service will be Saturday, June 13, at 11:30 a.m. in Wiles Cemetery at Ash Flat, Arkansas, with Bro. Chris Clem officiating.
