Larry Sorenson

Larry Keith Sorenson, 84, of Cherokee Village, Arkansas was born June 22, 1940 in Duluth, Minnesota to Lawrence and Grace (Johnson) Sorenson. He passed away December 7, 2024 at his home in Cherokee Village. Larry was a machinist in the tool & die industry and a longtime member of the Church of God. He served his country in the U. S. Air Force National Guard.

Larry was also a lifetime athlete who enjoyed traveling (especially in Europe), cycling, and mountain climbing (including scaling Mt. McKinley in Alaska). Larry participated in the Olympics on the national cross country ski team and was a member of the 1962 World Championship Nordic ski team.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy; two daughters, Holly Humphreys (Jarrett) of Springfield, Missouri and Heidi Morrison of Missoula, Montana; two grandchildren, Claudia and James; a sister, Linda Pickering of Aurora, Colorado; many other relatives and good friends.

Private services will be at a later date.  Arrangements are with Tri-County Funeral Home of Highland, Arkansas.
