Kenneth Herbert Lange, 70, of Cherokee Village, Arkansas passed away Friday, April 12, 2024 at his home from cancer. He was born August 24, 1953 in Waukesha, Wisconsin to Gordon and Gloria Stager Lange.
Kenny worked at Harley-Davidson in Milwaukee, Wisconsin as a mechanical engineer for several years in his early adult life. He always enjoyed a good ride on one of his many Harley-Davidson motorcycles throughout his adult life. He later ran his own businesses: Mt. Morris Resort Motel and The Trading Post Bar and Grill in Mt. Morris, Wisconsin for over twenty years. Kenny chose to retire in Cherokee Village, which he had called home for the last ten years (following his parents who chose to retire in Cherokee Village in the 1970s). He loved his home he nicknamed "The Tree House" and took joy in sitting on his deck boasting to everyone who came to visit about the beautiful view overlooking Spring River. He also enjoyed taking walks and exploring several areas of the Arkansas Ozarks with his dog, Ringo. One of his favorite hobbies was his 1933 hot rod he called the ZZ Top car; he was proud to show off that vehicle taking it to car shows, driving it around locally whenever he got the chance, and taking it on road trips all over the country.
Survivors include his daughter, Jennifer Rausch (Robert) and grandchildren, Boyd and Bryce Davis; his son, Kenny Lange Jr.; two brothers, Gordy Lange (Jan) and Robert Lange; two sisters, Dolly Scherf and Cherry Lange (Bill Jansen); several nieces and nephews; lifelong friends, Joe Morris and Doug Kaempfer; special friend, Jackie Stricklin; and of course his beloved dog, Ringo.
Kenny was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Mike and Bill Lange; a sister, Jeannette Fischer; two brothers-in-law, Bob Fischer and Emil Scherf.
A Celebration of Life will be planned and held at a later date. Arrangements are with Tri-County Funeral Home of Highland, Arkansas.
