Juanita Varner

Juanita Varner, 92, of Cherokee Village, Arkansas passed away February 28, 2023 at Cedar Hurst Nursing Home in West Plains, Missouri. She was born September 11, 1930 in Lee County, Iowa to John Kenneth and Ada Charles Hurford Vanosdoll. Juanita was a pianist and became an expert seamstress, even making clothes for antique dolls. Her enjoyment extended to the outdoors and working in her yard. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Hubert Edward Varner; a son, Keith Varner; a daughter, Maureen Sue Varner; her parents; and a sister, Wanda Wardlow. Survivors include her husband, Robert Tracy Heard; a son, Neil (Mary) Varner of Hardy, Arkansas; a daughter, Joy (Thomas) Conwell of Rochester, Massachusetts; eight grandchildren: Lynette McKinney, Keely Rogers, Clayton Varner, Brett Varner, Lyndsay Varner, Kaley Varner McNeill, Erica Hays Sample, and Spencer Hays; great-grandchildren: Mia McKinney, Hunter McKinney, Kody Rogers, Karli Rogers, Dalton Varner, Bryce Varner, Tristan Varner, Lathan Boyd, Jase Holbert, Kyler Carroll, and Mason White; a brother, David (Kathy) Vanosdoll; many other relatives and good friends. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 4, 2023 at the First Baptist Church in Cherokee Village with Bro. Chris Thorman officiating. Visitation will be from 4 - 6 p.m. Friday, March 3 in the Tri-County Funeral Home Chapel in Highland. Burial will be at a later date in Montrose Cemetery in Montrose, IA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Baptist Church Cherokee Village to assist with promoting the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
