Joyce Barnett

Joyce Annalee McCord Barnett, 88, of Cherokee Village, Arkansas passed away July 8, 2021 at Ash Flat Healthcare and Rehab Center. She was born January 2, 1933 in Trumann, Arkansas to John Gilbert and Arvoreen Roberts McCord. She had worked in human resources for many years at Riceland Foods. Joyce was a member of Apple Hill Church of Christ and enjoyed reading her Bible and working crossword puzzles. She loved her grandkids and was an excellent cook. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Wayne Barnett; her parents; three sisters: Melba Johnson, Cora Loveless, & Annette Owens; and a grandson, Spencer Gilbert. Survivors include sons: John (Sharlene) Barnett, Dennis (Brandyi) Barnett, & David Schreier (Tammy); a daughter, Ashley (Justin) Rickman; 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, & 6 great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Cheri Smith; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and good friends. Memorial services will be announced at a later date.
