Joanna Seibert Choat

Joanna Faith Choat was born July 28, 1962 to Herbert Wade and Edna Lou (Schmidt) Seibert in Paducah, Kentucky. She went to her eternal reward February 13, 2023 surrounded by loved ones at St. Bernards Hospital in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Joanna had moved to Hoxie, Arkansas after the passing of her beloved husband and attended Faith of the Apostles. She loved babysitting, quilting, and Southern gospel music. Joanna enjoyed cooking and was an excellent baker. Her most happy times were spent with loved ones and friends at church worshiping her Lord and Savior, and shopping. She is survived by five sisters: Flora Schmitt of Lone Oak, Kentucky, Denise Medlin and husband Lonnie of Hurley, Missouri, Lydia Schamel and husband Robert of Thayer, Missouri, Rhoda Hutchinson and husband Steve of Austin, Minnesota, and Rebekah Wilson and husband James of Kennett, Missouri; four brothers: Danny Seibert and wife Hope of Ash Flat, Arkansas, Bill Seibert and wife Ruthie of Lone Oak, Kentucky, David Seibert and wife Deborah of Hurley, Missouri, and Benjamin Seibert of Hardy, Arkansas; numerous nieces and nephews, many other relatives, and a host of friends. Joanna was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Tim; and a brother, Thomas Wayne Seibert. Visitation of family and friends will be Friday, February 17, 2023 beginning at 11:00 a.m. Funeral service will be at 12 noon, all at Christian Tabernacle near Wirth, Arkansas with Bro. David Morse and Bro. Tommy Morse officiating. Interment will follow in Eagle's Rest Cemetery. Pallbearers are Jonathan Schamel, Shane Peterson, Israel Medlin, Jeremiah Wilson, Glenn Choat, Zechariah Hernandez, Jared Villa, and Adam Morse. Services are entrusted to Tri-County Funeral Home of Highland, Arkansas.
