James Paul Florer, 78, was known throughout north Arkansas and south Missouri for sharing his love of music by playing the guitar and singing. He was born in Hammond, Indiana and passed from this earthly life on March 23, 2025 in a Jonesboro, Arkansas hospital. He had worked as a restaurant cook after serving his country in the U.S. Air Force.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Paul Edward and Helen (Hively) Florer and his wife, Joan (Burnette) Florer.
Survivors include his son, Shayne Florer (Stacie) of Roanoke, Virginia; a sister, Sharon Graefe of Williford, Arkansas; three nephews: Jeff Graefe (Cheryl), Scott Graefe, and Cody Graefe (Margaret Minton); and many good friends.
Visitation of family and friends will be Thursday, April 3, 2025 from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Tri-County Funeral Home, 1540 Hwy. 62/412, Highland, AR 72542.
