Jewell (Jay/JC) Holland, 86, of Hardy, Arkansas went to be with the Lord on December 19, 2024. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Mae Holland; his brother, Raymond Holland; and his sister, Joyce Bailey.
Survivors include his son, Monte Holland of Cherokee Village, Arkansas and his daughter, Amanda (Nick) Scott of Austin, Arkansas; four grandchildren he loved dearly: Matthew of Montrose, Colorado and Alexis, Tristan, and Emma of Austin, Arkansas. He was blessed with one great-grandchild, Wilder of Montrose. He is also survived by his sister, Hazel (Floyd) Bearden of Batesville, Arkansas and several nieces and nephews, including one niece, Rhonda Manning, who served as his wonderful caregiver.
All who knew JC knew he loved nothing more than spending time with his kids and grandkids, drinking coffee with his buddies, and telling stories. His biggest joy was being “Papa”.
JC joined the United States Air Force out of high school, worked in education for years, and ultimately retired from the City of Little Rock. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Ash Flat, Arkansas.
A memorial service will be Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. in Ash Flat at the Church of Christ.
