Jannie Clayton

Jannie Faye Clayton, 67, of Cherokee Village, Arkansas passed away August 8, 2023 at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro, Arkansas. She was born April 21, 1956 in Blytheville, Arkansas to Owen Monroe and Eula Mae (McGill) Wallace. She became a wife and homemaker who loved spoiling all kids. As a member of Spring Lake Baptist Church in Williford, Arkansas, she enjoyed singing in church. Jannie was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers: Billy Joe, Don, and Owen Wallace; and a sister, Barbara Boswell. Survivors include her husband, Donald K. Clayton; four sons: Danny Knuckles (Linda) and Gary Knuckles, all of Marmaduke, Arkansas, Darryl Knuckles (Angela) and Donald Clayton, Jr. (Debra), all of Cherokee Village; three daughters: Stacey Potter and Tracy Clayton of Marmaduke and Cali Clayton of Cherokee Village; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a brother, Jerry Wallace (Tina); many nieces and nephews, other relatives, and good friends. Family and friends will gather in the chapel of Tri-County Funeral Home at Highland, Arkansas for a visitation from 11 a.m. until service time at noon on Friday, August 11, 2023. Bro. Donnie Clayton and Bro. Rick Haskell will officiate the funeral and graveside. Burial will be in Turkey Pen Cemetery. Pallbearers will include Casey Clayton, Chris, Gary, Darryl, and Danny Knuckles. Honorary pallbearers are Dustin Chipman and Nicolas Fowler.
