James Louis Long, 64, of rural Williford, Arkansas, passed away September 29, 2020, at UAMS in Little Rock. He was born April 7, 1956, in Forrest City, Arkansas, served his country in the U.S. Marines, and had worked as a plumber. James was an avid fisherman/outdoorsman who "loved the hunt" and served his community as a volunteer firefighter. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hodge Louis and Ernest Dean (Kimball) Long, and a daughter, Connie Crossen. Survivors include his wife, Carol (Pilkinton), whom he married August 15, 1992; his daughter, Ronda and her husband Monte McLelland of Cherokee Village, Arkansas; brothers, Ricky and Richard Long, both of Harrison, Arkansas; seven grandchildren: Michael, Ronnie, Joshua, Hanna, Dakota, Dominick, and Frost; many other relatives and good friends. Private family services will be announced at a later date.
