James Allen Gatwood, 76, of Cherokee Village, Arkansas, passed away in Batesville, Arkansas. He was born in Columbus, Ohio. James attended Highland Hills Baptist Church and had worked as a truck driver and mechanic. He was involved in gardening, woodworking, landscaping, leathermaking, fishing, and hunting. James was preceded in death by his parents, James Alfred and Thora Lynn (Buffington) Gatwood; his wife, Deloris Lenora Gatwood; and two sons, John Roger Gatwood and Jan Arthur Helble. Survivors include his sons: Lyle Steven, Terry Wayne, Eddie Lee, Steven James, and Alfred Allen Gatwood; two sisters, Orrella Jean Riffle and Lynn Marie Pheglegy; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; as well as other relatives and good friends. A celebration of life will be at a later date. Arrangements are with Tri-County Funeral Home of Highland, Arkansas.
