James Ralph Acerra, 63, of Mountain Home passed away October 11, 2022 in Memphis, Tennessee. He was born March 24, 1959 in Racine, Wisconsin. James served in the U.S. Navy and Navy Reserves. He became an accomplished gunsmith who enjoyed fishing and was an avid reader, especially of books about the Civil War and WW II. James was a Christian employed by the State Department of Corrections. He was preceded in death by his father, Ralph; one sister, Victoria Caroline; and a niece, Caroline "Eden" Dodd. Survivors include his wife, Kathy Martin Acerra; a son, Alexander James Acerra of Mt. Vernon, Ohio; a daughter, Angelina Martine Acerra of Memphis; his mother, Doris Lawson of Ash Flat; and a large extended family. A memorial service will be Sunday, November 13 at 2 p.m. in the Hardy United Methodist Church, 4th & Spring St., Hardy, AR 72542 with Kay Brogdon officiating.
