Jacky Lynn Haskins, 75, of Ash Flat, Arkansas died Friday, July 21, 2023 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas. Born August 16, 1947 in Ash Flat, Jack was the son of Dale & Treva Kissinger Haskins. He served his country in the U.S. Army and Reserves from 1970 to1976 and was a founding member of the Ash Flat Fire Department. He was the manager of Winningham Auto Parts in Ash Flat before going to work for the Arkansas Forestry Commission as a Ranger in June of 1987 and remained with the Forestry until he was forced to retire in December 2014 due to complications from a massive stroke. Jack was a lifelong member of the Ash Flat Church of Christ and the godliest man all the way to the end. He was preceded in death by his parents; older sister, Patsy Carmack; brother-in-law, Ronnie Carmack; and an infant brother and sister. Jack is survived by his wife of 54 years, Kathy; two sons, Alan (Paula) of Walnut Ridge and Lynn (Jennifer) of Smithville; a sister, Joann Pierce of Ash Flat; grandchildren: Corey Pierce of Walnut Ridge, Logan Haskins (Madison) of Paragould, and Baylee Haskins (Will Davis) of Walnut Ridge; three great-grandchildren: "Baby goat" as he lovingly called Izzy Lyn (Logan and Madison) of Paragould and Cash and Ava Pierce (Corey) of Dallas, TX; Jack was a loving Christian son, brother, and husband as well as the patriarch of his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. He will also be missed by a multitude of other relatives and good friends. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. on Thursday, July 27 at the Ash Flat Church of Christ with funeral services starting at 2 p.m. Tommie Boles will officiate. Burial will be at Haskins Cemetery in Ash Flat immediately following the funeral service with "Last Call" firefighter honors. Arrangements are with Tri-County Funeral Home of Highland, Arkansas.
