Geraldine Lewis

Geraldine “Geri” Lewis, 84, of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas went peacefully to be with the Lord on June 30, 2023, surrounded by loved ones. Geri was born March 4, 1939 to Jeanette (Slawniak) and Leroy Tice in Goodland, Indiana. As a young girl, Geri shared her best memories with her Grandmother Ethel and her Aunt Jean & Uncle Walter Marion of Goodland, Indiana. She graduated from Goodland High School in 1957. Soon after, she married and moved to Rensselaer, where she resided until relocating to Horseshoe Bend in 1995. In Horseshoe Bend, Geri enjoyed volunteering as an EMT with her husband, George Lewis, who predeceased her. Geri found her happy place spending hours on her deck enjoying nature and her beautiful view of Crown Lake. Most recently, Geri found her passion in helping people sharing as a Grief Counselor at the Peace Lutheran Church in Cherokee Village, Arkansas. Surviving are three daughters: Nancy (Ed) Fitzgerald of Pearland, Texas, Susan Santcoeur of Olathe, Kansas, and Paula (Kenny) Korpita of Fort Myers, Florida; three granddaughters: Lauren and Olivia Szukelewick and Carolyn Fitzgerald; as well as a very special friend, Billy Brown, of Cherokee Village. A private family service will be held. In recent years, Geri’s faith in God grew as she attended Peace Lutheran and became an active member of the LWML and Altar Guild. Her family requests memorial contributions in Geri’s name be made to the Peace Lutheran Grief Share Program in Cherokee Village, AR 72529. Arrangements have been entrusted to Tri-County Funeral Home of Highland, Arkansas.
