Gerald Otto Bolin, 83, of Cherokee Village, Arkansas, passed away February 8, 2019, at EagleCrest Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Ash Flat, Arkansas. He was born May 29, 1935, in Brookland, Arkansas, to Ben Otto and Ruth (Williams) Bolin. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Wayne Bolin; and a sister, Alma Lemons. Gerald was a minister of the gospel for 53 years and preached many meetings and lectureships. He was a member of Ward St. Church of Christ in Hardy, Arkansas, and a veteran of the U.S. Army. He loved working in home construction renovating houses; he was an extremely good carpenter and painter. Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Evelyn (Hyde) Bolin; daughters: Teresa Bolin of Jonesboro, Jeannie (Alan) Dunn of Jonesboro, and Kim Tippy of Imboden; grandchildren, Shawn Tippy and Lacy Dunn; niece, Brenda McFarland; sister-in-law, Patty Bolin; many other relatives and a host of good friends. Arrangements coordinated by Tri-County Funeral Home of Highland and Heath Funeral Home of Paragould include a visitation of family and friends Tuesday, February 12, 2019, from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Tri-County Chapel, and a visitation Wednesday, February 13, in the Heath Chapel from noon until funeral service time at 1 p.m., David Gibson officiating. Burial will be in Pine Log Cemetery at Brookland.
