Gary Dewayne Shannon, 75, of Glencoe, Arkansas passed away July 20, 2022. He was born May 9, 1947 in Harrisburg, Arkansas to Samuel Allen and Margaret Iceal (Bedwell) Shannon. After serving his country in the U.S. Navy for four years, Gary worked as a sales manager in the clothing industry. He was of the Baptist faith and a conversationalist who enjoyed fishing and watching his great-granddaughter, "GRIP" (Jayda Lynn), in her bull riding efforts. He loved traveling and camping with his wife "Bucky". Survivors include his wife, Margaret of the home; a son, Gary D. Shannon Jr. (Jordan) of Nashville, TN; a daughter, Jennifer Bell of Horseshoe Bend, AR; step-sons, Michael Buller (Renay) of Glencoe, AR and Bradley Buller (Carrie) in Alaska; 16 grandchildren: Jessica, Jenni, Joey, Jeffrey, Ryan, Caleb, Kirsten, Benjamin, Jacqueline, Jeff, Niko, Natalie, Aaron, Autumn, Adrian, and Andrew; 17 great-grandchildren; a sister, Barbara Atkins of Jonesboro, AR; a special nephew, Jason Atkins; many other relatives and good friends. Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at 10 a.m. in Tri-County Funeral Home Chapel at Highland with Bro. Larry Pipkin officiating. Family will receive friends beginning at 9 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Interment will follow at 2 p.m. in the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in Birdeye, Arkansas (near Wynne and Cherry Valley). Pallbearers: Joey Bell, Jeffrey Bell, Garrett Johnson, Jason Atkins, Ryan Shannon, & Caleb Shannon
