Fred Lee Thompson, 78, of Hardy, Arkansas passed away January 3, 2022 at White River Medical Center in Batesville. He was born February 27, 1943 in Marshall, Arkansas to Lee Bo and Ercie (Garrison) Thompson, both of whom preceded him in death along with a brother, Ricky and a sister, Glenda Battershell. Fred was of the Southern Baptist faith and a retired logger who had cut timber most of his life. He loved spending days with his two favorite people, Annslee (Angie) and Conlee, watching television and doing crossword books. He especially enjoyed swinging them on the swing set. Survivors include his sons, Freddy and Carol of Hardy and Jerry Don and Donelle of Berryville; daughters, Carla and Sherry, both of Little Rock; 16 grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, and 26 great-grandchildren; three brothers: Ronnie and Donnie, both of Fayetteville, and Bobby of Little Rock; two sisters, Sharon Cline of Kingston and Linda Wheat of Malvern; and many other relatives and good friends. Private visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, January 8, in the chapel of Tri-County Funeral Home at Highland.
