Evelyn McKinney, 87, passed away at St. Elizabeth's Place in Jonesboro, Arkansas. She was born in Russellville. Her hobbies and activities included playing softball, cooking, playing cards, dancing, singing, and spending as much time as possible with her GRANDkids. She and her husband, Gene, owned and operated The Chicken Stop in Marked Tree. Her family remembers the divinity fudge as the BEST. Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, Chester Lee and Virgie Worth Hipps; her husbands, Billy Freeman McDaniel and Gene McKinney; a brother, Carl; sisters, Elwanda Brashears and Linda Scott; and a son, Michael Lance McKinney. Survivors include a son, Billy C. McDaniel of Williford, Arkansas; a daughter, Michelle and her husband David Becknell of Jonesboro; seven grandchildren: Billy Lance, Bill C., Tristan, and Trevor McDaniel, Jennifer Cooper, Zach and Haley Eldridge; several great-grandchildren; many other relatives and good friends. Private services will be at a later date.
