Ethel Elaine Woten, 78, of rural Hardy, Arkansas passed away October 22, 2022 at White River Health hospital in Batesville, Arkansas. She was born July 3, 1944 near Hardy and was a member of the Class of 1963 at Hardy High School. She worked as a secretary for the Holiday Inn Corporation in Memphis, Tennessee for more than twenty years prior to retiring back to the Hardy area. Elaine was preceded in death by her parents, Falice A. and Fern M. Adams Taylor; three brothers: Jerry, Ronnie, and Ricky Taylor; brother-in-law, Joe Zink; sister-in-law, Connie Dickson Taylor. She was a member of Spring River Baptist Church and loved her family, playing bingo, and reading. Survivors include her sister, Kay Zink of Hardy; three brothers: Freddie A. Taylor (Gloria) of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas, Timothy D. Taylor (Pam) of Apoka, Florida, and Rusty Taylor (Michelle) of Hardy; special nephew and nieces: Chris, Jodi, and Lil Elaine; special friend, Jerry Woten; many other relatives and good friends. Services for Elaine Taylor Woten will be Monday, October 24, with visitation beginning at 1 p.m. and funeral at 2 p.m. in Spring River Baptist Church, four miles north of Hardy on U.S. Hwy 63, with Bro. Donnie Strope officiating. Burial will follow in Bronaugh Cemetery.
