Earlene (Cochran) Schales passed away January 8, 2025 at the Healthcare and Rehab Center in Ash Flat, Arkansas at the age of 98 years. She was born October 13, 1926 in Williford, Arkansas to Earl and Dollie (Fletcher) Cochran and was united in marriage October 3, 1947 to J. M. Schales Jr. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; two sons, Randle and Lindel; three brothers; and son-in-law, Rick Snearly.
Survivors include four daughters: Paula Fulgham of Ash Flat, Joyce Snearly of Highland, Wanda Coffman of Cherokee Village, and Phylene (Rickey) Crook of Ash Flat; 14 grandkids; 21 great-grandkids; 2 great-great-grandkids; a sister, Maxine Smith; a brother, Leon Cochran; a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Earlene was a lifelong member of Highland Assembly of God where she cared for kids in the nursery for over fifty years. She was the finest homemaker and also a super fan of Elvis Presley.
Services will be Monday, January 13, 2025 at Highland Assembly beginning with visitation at noon; the funeral will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Rickey Crook and Nicholas Snearly officiating. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery.
Pallbearers will include grandsons: Barret, Gabe, Nicholas, Nathaniel, Jake, Cory, and Tyler.
Honorary Pallbearers will be granddaughters: Tina, Jocelyn, Alyson, Whitney, and Misti.
Services entrusted to Tri-County Funeral Home of Highland.
