Dorothy Smith

Dorothy Smith, 72, of Corning, Arkansas passed away August 17, 2023 in Jonesboro, Arkansas. She was born April 16, 1951 in Koshkonong, Missouri to Noril and Katy Christian Smith. Dorothy thoroughly enjoyed yard sales, gardening, tending to flower beds, fishing, and keeping her mind sharp with word searches. She had worked as a restaurant cook. Family and friends will have a visitation Sunday, August 20 from 10:30 a.m. until funeral service time at noon in the chapel of Tri-County Funeral Home, 1540 Highway 62/412, Highland, Arkansas. Bro. Lee Vonallmon will officiate. Burial will follow in Field Creek Cemetery off Highway 63 south of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas. Pallbearers will include Nathan Bass, Kyle Bass, Shane Riggs, Roger Riggs, Ryan Morris, Gregory Mullins, Fisher Smith, and Steven Starnes. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Richard and Dean Smith; and three granddaughters: Brianna Cornish, Lilly Marie Mullins, and April Yandell. Survivors include her daughters, Crystal Yandell (William) of Corning and Dovie Morris of Alton, Missouri; a son, Eric Mullins of West Plains, Missouri; 19 grandchildren: Jeffery, Gregory, Alona, Brittany, Jeremiah, Heather (Steven), Shane, Roger (Whitley), Ryan, Nevaeh, Brooklyn, Nathan (M.J.), Kyle (Victoria), Gracie, Jennifer (Scott), Jessica (Jon), Beth, Angela (John), and Michelle (Josh); 21 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Jeanetta Moore (Clint) of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas and Mary Weiand (Tony) of Ash Flat, Arkansas; many other relatives and friends.
