David Eric Bell was born the son of Drexell and Carolyn (Ford) Bell on March 29, 1972 in Kansas City, Missouri. He departed this life on November 25, 2024 at his home in Hardy, Arkansas at the age of 52 years.
David spent several years working as a mechanic. He could listen to anything with a motor and tell you what needed to be done.
David could be described as fun, resilient, fearless, and intelligent. However, it’s no secret that David battled with addiction. It was something that he was never able to overcome. It dominated every aspect of his life. To some people that’s all he was, an addict. To others he was a father, brother, uncle, and friend. His daughter, Jamie, wants those struggling with addiction to know that alcohol and drugs won’t make the problems disappear. Addiction doesn’t just hurt the addict. It causes worry, grief, betrayal, and heartbreak to family and friends. If you are struggling with addiction, please reach out, accept help from others who are willing to assist you in breaking that vicious cycle.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Drexell and Carolyn; a brother, Jerry Bell; and a sister, Carole Brotherton.
David left to mourn his passing a daughter, Jamie (Dalton) Grigg of Melbourne; a son, Damion Bell of Yellville; two sisters, Janet Bell of Holt, Missouri and Cindy Bell of Gentry, Arkansas; grandchildren: Harper Cotter, Hadleigh Grigg, Waylon Bell, and Nolan Bell; brother-in-law, Dale Brotherton; several nieces and nephews; many other relatives and friends.
The family requests that donations be sent to the funeral home at Tri-County Funeral Home, P.O. Box 665, Hardy, AR 72542 to assist with funeral expenses.
Arrangements were entrusted to Tri-County Funeral Home of Highland.
