Crete Schwarz

Crete Melanie Schwarz of Glencoe, Arkansas passed away unexpectedly August 17, 2021 at the age of 58 years. She was born June 16, 1963 in Sterling, Illinois and grew up in Rock Falls, Illinois. Crete attended Rock Falls High School and Sauk Valley Community College and has maintained contact with many friends from her hometown. She worked in healthcare for many years and was truly dedicated to her patients' well being. She was an avid animal lover and had a kind generous heart. She was also an avid reader and loved to cook for her family. Crete was preceded in death by her father, William Freeman Croy. She is survived by her husband, Phil Schwarz; a son, William Donaldson; a step-son, Andy (Liz) Schwarz; a step-daughter, Tonya Schwarz; five grandsons; her mother, Margery Croy; a sister, Julia (Dennis) Blatz; a niece, Madison (Brady) Mitchell; and many in-laws, cousins, and dear friends. A celebration of Crete's life will be planned and announced at a later date.
