Cody Michael Scholes, 22, of Cherokee Village, died at his home. He was born in Springfield, Missouri. Cody had worked as a tanker on riverboats. He greatly enjoyed camping outdoors and "anything on the water": especially fishing and floating. Survivors include his father, Scott (Melissa) Scholes of Camp, Arkansas, and mother, Jennifer (Scott) Ogle of Ohio; sisters: Robin, Allicia, and Dezarei Scholes, Lily, Olivia, and Rose Ogle; a brother, Tyler Freeman; paternal grandparents, Penny Scholes and Gary Scholes; maternal grandparents, Paul and Catherine Morgan; girlfriend, Tonimarie Macchia; many other relatives and good friends. Visitation of family and friends will be Thursday, May 14, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Tri-County Funeral Home in Highland. Due to COVID-19 directives from Governor Hutchinson, a limit of ten people at a time (practicing social distancing … a minimum of six feet apart) can be inside the chapel.
