Bob Newman

Robert "Bob" Calvin Newman, 92, of Cherokee Village, Arkansas passed away July 7, 2021 at Ash Flat Healthcare & Rehab Center. He was born April 25, 1929 to William Orville and Blondine Vernice (Locklair) Newman in Charleston, South Carolina. Bob was of the Christian faith and served his country during the Korean War. He then worked as a policeman. Later he and his wife became funeral directors and worked at Tri-County Funeral Home in Highland, Arkansas. He was preceded in death by a brother, William Orville Newman Jr. Survivors include his wife, Verna Mae; sons, Robert Clay Newman of Hebron, Kentucky and Roger Lyn Newman in the Phillipines; grandsons, Christopher and Jason; great-grandsons: Ryan, Evan, and Alex; sisters, Patricia Day of Florida and Vivian Gough of Oklahoma; many other relatives and good friends. Memorial services will be announced at a later date. Arrangements are with Tri-County Funeral Home of Highland.
