Billy Mack Lowe, 88, of Highland, Arkansas, passed away Friday, January 22, 2021. He was born October 18, 1932 in Williford, Arkansas to Willie Devine and Vada Sarah (Davis) Lowe. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army proudly serving his country (1953 to 1955). Bill worked in the development of Cherokee Village for Cooper Communities for 30 years and helped design and build many of the lakes. He also worked for the State of Arkansas Highway Department and was involved in the construction of the four-lane (without the turning lane) between Hardy and Ash Flat. He loved his family with enthusiasm and enjoyed time and friendships at the Highland Elks Lodge and American Legion. He was a "longtime car salesman" and an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and Arkansas Razorbacks. Bill was a member of Spring River Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Everett Lowe; his sister, Glenna Holloway; and a granddaughter, Cassidy Anderson. Survivors include his wife, Marilyn Sue (Cruse) Lowe; children: William Paul "Billy" Lowe (Mindy) of Caraway, Arkansas, Kerry Leigh Anderson (Carl) of Nephi, Utah, and Barry Matthew Lowe (Lisa Rose) of Hardy, Arkansas; six grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; as well as other loving relatives and friends. The family will have a private Celebration of Life service at a later date.
