Billy Joe Davidson, 84, of Hardy, Arkansas, passed away January 20, 2019. He was born May 23, 1934, to Gordon and Leola Mae (Garrett) Davidson in Joiner, Arkansas. Mr. Davidson was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed country and gospel music. He loved his family and had hobbies that included fishing, deer hunting, bowling, St. Louis Cardinals baseball, and playing the guitar. He was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the United States Marine Corps, both active and reserve from 1953-1961, earning the rank of corporal. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, William “Buddy” Davidson; a sister, Mavis Kirk; and beloved brother-in-law, Bob Howard. Survivors include his wife, Pearline Curtis Davidson; three sons: Billy & Barbara Davidson, Timothy & Courtney Davidson, Terrance & Carrie Davidson; five daughters: Debrah & Tao Davidson, Rashada “Sandra” Parks, Rhonda & Leon Luke, Tamera & Chris Davidson-Monks, Marcia & David Feucht; two brothers, Troy & Martha Davidson and Wayne & Vickey Davidson; three sisters: Betty Howard, Paulette & Don Proffitt, Gladys & Ellis Cortez; 28 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Margaret Davidson; and many other relatives and good friends. Visitation of family and friends will begin at 8:30 a.m. Friday, January 25, with funeral to follow at 9:30 a.m., all in the chapel of Tri-County Funeral Home at Highland, Arkansas. Burial will be at 2 p.m. in the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery at Birdeye, Arkansas, near Cherry Valley.
