Billie Gene Gentry left his earthly home December 9, 2018, in Batesville, Arkansas. He was born November 1, 1938, in Virginia, Illinois, to Ira Richard and Ila Christine Gentry. Bill served his country in the U.S. Air Force at San Antonio, Texas, in 1960. He was a baker by trade and worked for over 25 years at Edwards Bakery in Davenport, Iowa. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Hardy, Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers: Timmy, Gerald, and Ray Gentry; two sisters, Kathy and Clara Christine Gentry. Survivors include three brothers: Bobby of Williford, Arkansas, Donald of Cherokee Village, Arkansas, and Ralph of Davenport, Iowa; three sisters: Mary Gentry of Cherokee Village, Wanda Leamon of Davenport, and Ruth Corlis of Glencoe, Arkansas; several nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends. Services will be at First Baptist Church in Hardy at 4 p.m. Friday, December 14, 2018. Arrangements are with Tri-County Funeral Home of Highland, Arkansas.
