Bernice Charlene (Forney) Ivey was born January 30, 1928 in Noel, Missouri to Charles Franklin and Ada Lois (Collier) Forney. She departed this life October 16, 2024 in Cave City, Arkansas at the age of 96 years. 

Mrs. Ivey was a loving homemaker to her husband and children and was a member of Ruddel Hill Baptist Church. Bernice was an avid reader and enjoyed crossword puzzles. She loved time shared with her family including her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Bernice is survived by a son, Charles Ivey of Highland; three daughters: Beverly Bates (Larry) of Poughkeepsie, Carol Woods (Bob) of Batesville, and Marilyn Hatley of Bella Vista; ten grandchildren: Natasha Sharp, Nicholas Charles Ivey, David, Daniel, and Preston Bates, Amber Jones, Angela Chapman, Mark Hatley, Laura Courtney, and Sarah Jones; thirteen great-grandchildren: Liam, Maxwell, Kobe, Emery, Abel, Alivia, Wren, Spencer, Hadley, Berkley, Ava, Avery, and Kade; many other friends and relatives.

She was preceded in death by one grandson, Johnny Dale Ivey; her husband, Walter Ivey Jr; her parents; a brother, Jack Forney; and two sisters, Bonnie McCradic and Joyce Baldridge.

Graveside service and burial will be Friday, October 18, 2024 with Bro. Alan Brown officiating at Bronaugh Cemetery north of Hardy, Arkansas beginning at 1 p.m. Grandchildren will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Services are entrusted to Tri-County Funeral Home of Highland.
