Barbara McBride

Barbara Ann McBride, 81, of Ash Flat, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, April 5, 2023. She was born May 30, 1941 to John Calvin and Neta Novella McFann Fernimen and later married Charles Dale McBride, all who preceded her in death along with a brother, Bruce Fernimen, and a niece, Mira Fernimen. Barbara was a member of Light in the Wilderness church, the Golden Girls, and enjoyed doing cross-stitch. She was also an avid reader. She had worked as a supervisor for General Oil. Survivors include her daughters, Jamie Pierce (David) and Dianna Flippo (Darin), all of Jonesboro, Arkansas; five grandchildren: Brittany (Chad) Turner, Logan (Jackie) Henley, Madison Pierce, Calvin Flippo, and Kirsten (Cameron) Tilley; four great-grandchildren: Hallie, Caden, Tate, and Owen; other relatives and good friends. Visitation of family and friends will begin at 11 a.m. Friday, April 7 at Light in the Wilderness church west of Ash Flat on Hwy. 62/412 with a Celebration of Life following at noon. Bro. Stan Jones will officiate.
