Danny "DJ" Curtis McEntire Jr., 34, of Hardy, Arkansas, passed away January 15, 2018, near West Plains, Missouri. He was born August 6, 1983, to Sherry Ann (Morgan) and Danny Curtis McEntire in Salem, Arkansas. DJ was self-employed as owner/operator of a lawn care business for seven years. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, wakeboarding, surfing, and water skiing. He loved his dogs and enjoyed raising them. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Lloyd McEntire, and an aunt, Linda Ellis. Survivors include his wife, Erin McEntire of the home; children: McEnzie McEntire, Braxton McEntire, Nathanael Stott, and Thomas Stott; his parents, Sherry and Danny McEntire of Hardy; a brother, Justin (Tia) McEntire of Huancayo, Peru; nieces, Grace and Camille; maternal grandparents, Joanne and Gordon Morgan; paternal grandmother, Glenda McEntire; uncle, Gordon (Debbie) Morgan Jr.; aunts, Bonnie (Johnny) Pendarvis and Peggy (John) Sherman; mother- and father-in-law, Sherry and Dwayne Stott Jr.; cousins: Braden, Brent, Branson, Fanchon, Farrah, Sabrina, Jessica, Crystal, and Tyler; many other relatives and good friends. Visitation of family and friends will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, January 18, in the chapel of Tri-County Funeral Home at Highland, Arkansas. Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m. Friday, January 19, at Ward St. Church of Christ in Hardy with Kevin Lynxwiler officiating. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery at Highland. In lieu of flowers, an account has been established at Centennial Bank for memorials to honor DJ.
